Villa Pattono is situated above Costigliole d’Asti amidst idyllic vineyards.
Villa Pattono is an elaborately restored 18th century country house that has always been the seat of a winery. Like many wineries, the beautiful rooms were transformed into a hotel. One is obviously trying everywhere to create a dignified atmosphere: large sofas in the reception area to which one can retreat, dark wood everywhere – but a little patina would do the overall impression good.
The rooms are spacious and equipped with good materials, where the eye falls. On the ground floor there is also a large terrace with spectacular views.
The villa also has a small spa area and a swimming pool, nicely embedded in the soft hilly landscape.
During the renovation, we would have liked the charm of the old walls to have been preserved and not to have relied so much on smooth materials.
A little hint at the end: Those who like to sleep with an open window should not leave the patio door open on the ground floor, otherwise it could be that a guest sleeps in bed towards the morning – small, black and very playful, likes to murmur already in the evening in order to be let in.
